Meditation Insights

I wanted to share some tips and things I figured out about meditation. So if you are new to meditation and want to give it a try, but don't know how to start. Or if you are a seasoned meditator, maybe some of these insights will help you.

I did not consider mediation until I began having experiences that led me to believe I had some psychic ability. Starting out, I did not know what to do. I thought if I just played Zen/relaxing music and lie in bed quietly, it would all just come to me. Not so much. I would either fall asleep or my mind would be thinking of a million things or I would just get plain bored.

As I branched out and met others with similar interests I became exposed to the idea of guided meditations. Intuitively, I first looked to YouTube to find guided meditation. What a treasure trove! There are meditations to help balance and open up chakras, to meet spirit guides, to access the Akashic records and see past lives, etc. In utilizing guided meditations, I have been able to meet 6 spirit guides and determine which archangel I am to work with. Check it out sometime. Like with anything, not all of the guided meditations will resonate with you. There were definitely some that I did not resonate with.

Meditation tips:
  1. Set the mood - light some candles and/or burn some incense that you like, turn out the lights and sit in a comfortable chair or lie down in bed.
  2. Ensure that you will not be disturbed - from personal experience, there is nothing more infuriating than being in a crucial point in a meditation and having your kid or husband talking to you.
  3. Try using earbuds to listen to the meditation - I find that earbuds help to drown out background noise and I am more focused.
  4. It is OK to fall asleep - I was told once that if I fall asleep I am doing it right. This is because meditation is supposed to relax you and falling asleep is the ultimate indicator that you are relaxed. The disappointing part of falling asleep during a guided meditation is that you miss out consciously on the message(s) you may receive. But the best part is that you can always meditate again another time!
No matter now you meditate, it is very important and will rejuvenate you as well as give you guidance and/or insights to questions on which you have been pondering.

I hope you enjoy your meditation experiences and thank you for taking the time to read this - Gypsy Cat

Back to Normal

I frequently find myself wishing things would go back to normal. But what normal? I certainly don't want to return to a society that treasures greed and materialism above love and kindness and generosity.

Metaphysical teachers and mentors are saying that this is an opportunity for the lightworkers to change the way we as humans treat our Earth and each other. They say that this transition will lead us into the Age of Aquarius. I am in total agreement with them!

I came to this plane of existence as a lightworker. I always felt that I was here to bring peace and to help others. I never saw the need for physical altercations and went out of my way to help people who used me in return. While I have grown to recognize my self worth, I still have this inane desire to help those in need. These days I am very particular on who and in which situations I offer my assistance.

I would really like to live in a society where we can all be kind and help each other unconditionally. This is the reality that I would like to co-create with other lightworkers. Together we could ensure that poverty, hunger, abuse, homelessness, and hate are eradicated!

Who is with me?

Tarot Reading 4/18/20

In this reading, I asked the cards "What do I need to know for this week?"

Interpretation: The time is now! It is time to turn my new ideas into actions. I am awakening to a brighter future and need to let go of past feelings of inadequacy. I am on a journey of growth. So observing all of the details along the way would serve me well.

Lately, I have been trying to think of ways to turn my new found passion into a way of making money. However, I do not yet feel confident enough to do readings for others. When I do, it is a 2 second blurb and I don't feel right about even charging anyone for that.

Today my spirit guides gave me the idea to start this blog. So I hope that along with becoming better at interpreting the cards with out looking each one up, I will also be able to tell a more lengthy "story" for lack of a better word.

Tarot Reading 12/6/19

As the title indicates, I did this spread back in December. I am just so proud of how well I interpreted it that I wanted to share it. 😁

In this spread I just asked the cards for a general reading.

Interpretation: I have been working on my intuitive talents and working toward mastery of them. I'm not quite there yet but am doing well. I will discover new talents and/or confidence. I will be able to celebrate my accomplishments.

I believe that this reading is telling me that soon I will gain the confidence I need to read for others. I am a perfectionist of sorts and believe that I need to give readings on the level that someone with 20+ years of experience would. I know that this is unrealistic for a novice, but I can't shake that feeling of inadequacy.

Hail and Welcome!

Hello.
I am starting this blog as I feel I've received guidance from spirit to do so. I am on a spiritual path and developing my psychic abilities. Along this path, I am becoming more and more familiar with Tarot. So my spirit guides told me to utilize a blog as a platform to help me in interpreting tarot readings. If you choose to read my musings, you will see tarot readings, epiphanies from meditation, and anything else that happens in my life relating to Metaphysics. Right now this is my hobby and I'm hoping to turn it into more one day.

In addition to Tarot, I have participated in past life workshops. In one of these workshops, I saw that I was a "Gypsy Fortuneteller" in a past life. So it was no coincidence when I was contemplating my display name, that "Gypsy" popped into my head.

Also, I want to mention that I, myself, am an oxymoron. I have been trained in science and logic and work as a Registered Nurse. However, the paranormal and ideas of psychic abilities have always fascinated me. Of course working in hospitals, can give anyone open to the experience a belief in the paranormal and hauntings. My experiences are too many and most likely should be in a separate post. 😊
